One servo or two in e-revo race setup?

Hi all,
I am wondering if I should switch to a single Jr z9100s

I am currently running the dual stock setup.

My local hobby store is trying to talk me out of it.

Tim? Opinions?

i went to one as soon as i bought it. it was a hitec 5645 metal geared and then the 5995 hitec servo later on.

since then i have sold the revo, and have a built to bash savage with the widest tires i can find + 1.5 each wheel extenders, and weighing close to 2 revos i went to a DS8711HV High Voltage Ultra Torque Servo. this thing can still move both wheels while it is not moving! it is a expensive servo , but i have had it under water, and hooked to a 7.4v lipo and it is still holding up.

but if you are just club racing for fun you still can run the twin setup, and not be disappointed. don't upgrade because they are trying to talk you into it. do it because you NEED MORE.

there is other upgrades i would geat before worring about a single more powerful servo...you can go with the old saying ....if it is working why fix it...

Thanks for the response... Currently, I am not running stock servos... see above. This is also setup for racing not bashing.

So.... with that info? Any additional thoughts? Tim?

I'd choose a Z9100T over the 9100S. The T is still plenty fast and offers a buttload of torque. Heavy, fast trucks with big tires are super hard on servos. I run a Hitec HS5955TG and am extremely happy with it.

That it what I ordered..exactly my reasoning too. Expensive but every review of it has been stellar.

Revo's work great with a single servo, so long as you have over 200 oz-in of torque it will steer with plenty of authority. The JR9100T is a GREAT servo. Dual servos only belong on the RTR trucks in my opinion.

The stock setup uses a pair of 125 in-oz 0.16 sec servos. What is the difference between the stock ones and a single 250 in-oz 0.16 sec servo?

I never have any problems keeping my stock pair in sync with each other, so I don't think there's a maintenance issue with the stock setup. I understand switching to a single servo if it's 350 in-oz, that's an obvious increase in torque.
