New engine break in and whoops

Well there I was, couple months of Revo torn down waitin for funds for new engine and finally got it in. Runnin up and down street doing break in and on tank five finally gettin some speed. Trucks goin by me and I hit the breaks and "what the $#*&. No brakes. swerve like hell and anything else to slow down before I run out of room. Bring it in and find the shoe came off the backing plate on one of the brake pads. Ran the rest of the gas out and got parts to fix it. Sure sucks when you have great brakes, expect to have em and suddenly dont have em. Glad I missed the car, curb, tree, pole, small kid, and rock at the end of the run. The kid might not have done as much damage to the truck though. Just kidding. have fun guys I am and darn happy to be back up and runnin.

I replaced the engine with another 3.3 off ebay for 100.00 brand new. still learnin the tunin thing and still happy with the 3.3 want to learn more on rebuilding and the next engine will have better internals and some massage work done. Never knew this would get to be so addictive, fun, and $$$$$$$$ but sanity is worth it.

the addiction has just begun....the 3.3 is a smoking fast motor for the revo. If it start to act a little wierd check the rear bearing;)

I see people out there saying they need bigger motors for this truck, I consider myself a decent driver and the 3.3 does great in the dirt, sand, etc. Be fun to have more speed on asphalt but thats not what this truck is designed for. Besides, 3.3's are cheap motors to replace and fun. Now as for my addiction to buyin extra revo parts on ebay. OUCH, couple more times like today and I will be building from scratch a whole nother revo

I just put a new 3.3 in mine and also on tank 5 the dang thing broke down.
The stupid clutch spring broke into three pieces.
Sucks to have finally gotten the new motor and have the breakin process delayed for two days because of such a tiny thing. Also it was an 80 mile round trip to the hobby shop to buy it. It cost more in gas than the part

Gotta like ebay for the cheap parts but I can't say I like the wait and not knowing if things will ever arrive.
I've been waiting for over three weeks for a brand new 3.3 chassis to replace my old shorter 2.5 one. Still for $9 I guess I can put up with the wait.

Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind. Gonna give it another week before filing a no delivery claim.
